'Chiefs Cover, Ravens Win!' ESPN Analyst Gives Predictions for AFC Championship Game
Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens have one more hurdle to clear if they hope to reach the Super Bowl, and it comes in the form of the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

This meeting of elite quarterbacks and NFL brands is one of the most anticipated games of the season, so naturally, predictions are plenty for the game in Baltimore. One such prediction came from ESPN analyst Scott Van Pelt who thinks the Ravens win...but you shouldn't bet on them to cover the small spread.

You can read an excerpt from Van Pelt's prediction below.

Van Pelt's pick: Chiefs +3.5

The fear for Kansas City must be that after facing Miami and Buffalo, whose defenses were absolutely devastated by injury, they face a Baltimore team that has the best defense in the NFL and looked the part last week in suffocating Houston. Kansas City doesn't get blown out with Patrick Mahomes at QB -- just doesn't happen. So, while I believe the Ravens win, I think it is close, and 3 1/2 points is candy we will take.

If that prediction is even close to true, Sunday's deciding game in the AFC should be an all-time classic.

Kickoff on Sunday between the Chiefs and Ravens is set for 3 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised on CBS.
